OK, with minor niggles

I purchased this from liGo's eBay store in early December 2023. After nearly 3 months usage I can report that the phones seem pretty reliable and have good volume both in ringing and listening with a good clear sound. The range seems fine in my house with phones on all floors connecting well. The buttons are well spaced and clearly labelled. I haven't bothered to set up the answer machine, as this will not work anyway after the digital switchover. They are pretty easy to set up and have a reasonable range of features for the price.

They don't get a full 5 stars, though, as there are some niggles:

1. You can't name the handsets (they are just numbered in the sequence they are registered). This may seem trivial, but personally I like to see a name such as "kitchen", "lounge" etc. on the handset.

2. The ringtones are awful. There is a pretty good number of options, but almost all of them sound terrible. Even for a low-end phone this isn't acceptable.

3. Battery life is not great - I find that the handset "dies" after about a day if not left in its charger.

However, that being said, these are relatively minor issues and I think this represents good value for the money.

Excellent telephones, easy to operate and clear sound.

We bought a set of telephones recently from another company and had endless difficulty with them. They were complicated to set up and when using them the sound was terrible with the person at the other end often unable to hear us at all. We decided to cut our losses and chose Gigaset after reading some excellent reviews. We are really pleased with our purchase, the phones were smart, easy to set up and the clarity is excellent. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend these phones, so far they are brilliant.

Functional, quality and good value

Coming from SL models, clearly there's plastic instead of metal, however I'm still impressed with the finish. The viewing angle and contrast of the screen is lesser than the premium models, which is only bothersome when looking at the phone from across a room to see who's calling. Sound quality is great, and this is the strength (and arguably most important feature). We like the individual keys over that flat style in other models. Dispatch was quick and so too delivery.
