The GPO PASSION™ ED Binoculars were designed to offer the perfect introduction to the world of high-quality optics at an unbeatable price-performance ratio. And we would be inclined to agree that that GPO have succeeded in this ambition. The build quality is evident out the box and the slim ergonomic design make it a joy to use. The entire housing is made of magnesium and their robustness and optical performance make them unique performers in their class offering the quality and experience of optics that would ordinarily cost a lot more.

Incredible optical quality

With Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) lenses, and state-of-the-art multi-coatings, the GPO Passion ED offer a wide field of view with high edge-to-edge sharpness and exceptional light transmission. The bright, high-contrast images provide you with an outstanding viewing experience picking up incredible detail and absolutely natural colours.

Robust and built for all weather

GPO binoculars are fast becoming renowned for their impressive build quality and the Passion ED series exemplifies this perfectly. The sleek magnesium body feels very robust and the narrow bridge between the barrels allows for a more secure and comfortable grip. There is a rubberised exterior for further durability and grip; and they are nitrogen-filled so fully waterproof and fogproof making them an ideal companion even on rainy days.

Easy-to-use, quick focussing

The comfortable top-hinge design affords users a secure and natural grip whilst the well positioned focus wheel allows for quick, easy and precise focussing. The anti-slip surface provides reliable performance in all conditions.

Fantastic

Very lightweight and comfortable to hold. Great for bird watching if the distance is not extreme. Comfortable to use with or without glasses. Opted for these after reading reviews online and looking at competitive models in the same price range.

Excellent

I bought these binoculars on the strength of their reviews online being rated by Ligo as their Best Buy and on another site. The primary use will be bird watching and I bought them to upgrade my existing pair of bins, which weren't anything special. I had considered spending even more on a pair of Zeiss but don't feel I would've actually ended up with a superior pair if I had. I've had these GPO for a few weeks now and they are truly incredible (I knocked 1-star off style and design for the plate on the focus wheel, which is quite basic for a premium product). Optics-wise these are vastly clearer, brighter, and more colourful than my previous bins and every bit as good as the Zeiss I had been considering (which I was lucky enough to test out). I cannot recommend them highly enough, unbelievable value!

Exceeded my expectations

These perform exceptionally well across the board and despite seeing in older reviews that the focus wheel is loose, I found it operates just as I want it to, very precise. Could be cheaper as they are a mid range pair, however, still does the job very nicely.
