Im a wild camper and solo backpacker and wanted to upgrade my well worn tent to something that could handle all weathers and was strong enough to withstand more than just one of two outings a year. Im happy to report that the Robens Chaser 1 seems to tick all the boxes so far (only time will tell when it comes to its longevity/durability) but for now I aboslutely love this tent!
Have already taken out a handful of times so have tested to the full in all weathers. I can attest to it being completely waterproof and withstands heavy wind very well. Was able to get it pitched in a few minutes each night and slept well.
It is a little heavier than some of the other options I considered but certainly lightweight enough. The weather protection alone is one of the main reasons for buying this excellent tent, so not that much of a worry to be honest.
Worth noting that the vestibule is quite small so its a bit of squeeze to store my pack and can be tight if you wanted to cook, but not bad.
All in all, I think its a great backpacking tent!
