The Vango Halo 300 3-person tent is our simplest semi-geodesic tent with three identical poles, creating a self-supporting structure and offering the perfect combination of low weight and high strength for all year round camping. The 70D flysheet is made from single-use plastics with a 3000mm HH. With great inner space and head height plus two sizable porches, the Halo Pro tent is the perfect space for group expeditions - such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award participants or simply exploring what nature has to offer with friends.

Superb Design

The tent has a unique semi-geodesic design, which provides excellent stability and helps to distribute weight evenly across the structure. The tent has two poles that cross over each other, creating a sturdy and robust frame that can withstand strong winds and other weather conditions. The tent also has a small porch at the entrance, providing a convenient place to store your gear. The Vango Halo 300 has a floor area of 4.3 square meters and a peak height of 1.3 meters, providing ample space for three people to sleep comfortably. It also has two entrances, which provide easy access to the interior, and two vestibules, which provide additional storage space for gear.

Quality Materials

The tent is made from high-quality materials that are designed to be durable and weather-resistant. The flysheet is made from Protex 70D polyester fabric, which is both waterproof and breathable, while the bathtub-style floor is made from durable 70D polyester. The tent also has vents on the flysheet and mesh panels on the inner tent, which help to reduce condensation inside the tent.

Added Extras

Setting up the Vango Halo 300 is relatively easy, thanks to its color-coded poles and quick-pitch system. The tent also has reflective points on the guylines, which makes it easier to find your tent in low light conditions. The tent also comes with a repair kit, which includes patches and adhesive for fixing small tears and punctures in the tent.

Stability and Storage

The tent has a TBS II (Tension Band System) which adds extra stability to the tent structure. This system consists of additional guylines that help to secure the tent poles and improve the overall stability of the tent in windy conditions. Secondly, the tent comes with a variety of storage options. There are pockets located on the inner tent for storing small items, and a gear loft for storing larger items like clothing and gear. There are also loops along the inside of the tent for hanging items like lights or a clothesline.

Why Should You Buy This Tent?

Overall, the Vango Halo 300 is a well-designed and reliable tent that provides a comfortable and weather-resistant shelter for up to three people. Its semi-geodesic design, sturdy construction, and variety of useful features make it a great option for outdoor enthusiasts who are looking for a high-quality tent for their camping and backpacking trips.

Good solid tent for TWO people

Really solid tent with lots of headroom. Nice features like ceiling pockets for torches and optional porch groundsheet (which we also used as an extra bag to roll around the poles and pegs when we divided it between us to carry). Not super lightweight but good if divided between two hikers. Loads of room for 2 people. Quite hot inside in sunny weather but ventilation options help. Would be improved by inner doors having full mesh option instead of just the top but that would increase the weight. An excellent and strong beginners' tent.

Excellent for 2 PEOPLE!!

This Vango tent is perfect for two people. Although it could fit three if one of the vestibules is used for gear storage. The tent is sturdy, spacious and weatherproof, with an interesting green color. Personally, I prefer the older Vango Green compared to the new shade, and I'm not a fan of the orange inner. If it were white, I would rate it 9/10! The two vestibules provide great options for entry/exit and storage, and the additional triangular groundsheets in the vestibules are also useful.

Great tent for bikepacking

Bought this tent as its lightweight, easy to pitch and plenty of space in the two porches for all the cycling gear we take with us. The tent is robust enough to withstand even the wettest of Scottish summers and stayed put in some pretty strong Highland winds. It’s nice and spacious inside and vents ensure that condensation is limited.
