BT 4000 Cordless Phone with Big Buttons & Call Blocking

The BT 4000 is a user-friendly home phone without an answering machine equipped with extra large buttons, bright clear display, and call blocking features. Developed for elderly users, the handset is also hearing aid compatible and boasts an ‘Amplify’ button for a boost in volume.

Nuisance Call Blocking

The call blocking features of the BT 4000 empowers landline users to prevent unwanted disturbances from international and withheld numbers (which account for a large proportion of nuisance sales calls), which can be a useful function not only for the vulnerable elderly but for anyone who is pestered by repeated cold calls. It is also possible to bar up to 10 specific numbers from calling, and a Do Not Disturb mode can be switched on to silence the ringer for all but your most important contacts.

Easy to use

Designed for ease-of-use, the BT 4000 is straightforward to set up and use. The menus are clearly laid out, and the large backlit display and increased font size makes it easy to read; whilst the handset has been shaped to make it easier to grip and features larger button for comfortable dialling.

Sound Quality

Landline calls can be enjoyed in reliably clear sound quality, with convenient volume controls on the keypad as well as the ‘Amplify’ button mentioned previously for an added boost. There is also an in-built loudspeaker for talking hands-free; and an inductive coupler for compatibility with hearing aids.

Dependable features

The handset will last for up to 13 hours of continuous use when fully charged and has a standby time of around 160 hours. The phonebook has a memory for up to 100 names and numbers, and you can allocate your most frequent contacts for speed dialling.

Why should you buy this phone?

If you’re looking for a simple cordless phone with big buttons, good volume, and without an answering machine then the BT 4000 is the ideal choice.

Is this phone compatible with my setup?

If you have a router with a phone port like the diagram below*, then you'll easily be able to plug in the phone cable provided with the phones (or with the RJ11 cable provided with your router).

If you don't have a phone port, then you will need a phone with a LAN connection, which is provided with all our Gigaset N300A IP and N510 IP bundles.

*Please note the configurations of your router may look different, however you should still be easily able to locate if there is a phone port or not.

Great phone but?

I have had this phone a while now and I can't fault it except for one thing. I was showing a friend how the call barring for certain numbers works. I used my own mobile number as an example and now I don't know how to un-bar it! Does anyone know how to do this?

Great simple to use phone

Purchased for elderly relative who absolutely loves it, really easy to set up, big clear display and buttons, good loud ring (if needed), and she is delighted to have discovered the loudspeaker! Good clear sound.

Short line cord

why are all line cords so short. The longer ones are supposed to be universal {so bt tell me } but I have tried to buy 3 phones and had to take them back, I also purchased 2 longer line cords but thet definitely do not work wat is the answer? many thanks

Good quality, loud and clear

Bought the 4 pack for mum and dad, good clear buttons, loud by default. nThe phone has an amplify button which toggles extra loud for the duration of the call, it would be easier to use if this was just part of the volume control (then there is only one way of operation to teach).nThe hands free mode is very useful and clear, and setup is straightforward (the first two phones with the base station work by default, the additional 2 I purchased needed a specific pairing sequence but its all in the manual.nThe phone book sync's between all handsets which is neat.nnWould recommend as a normal landline phone, not just for hard of hearing/sight.nnDelivery was lightning fastn
