With large objective lenses, BaK-4 prisms and fully multi-coated optics utilizing Celestron’s proprietary XLT coating technology, the view through a SkyMaster Pro is second to none at this price point.

Every air-to-glass surface is multi-coated with Celestron’s proprietary XLT coating technology. These coatings coupled with BaK-4 prisms increase light transmission through the optical path and deliver crisp, high contrast images with outstanding resolution.

A polycarbonate and aluminum housing makes SkyMaster Pro durable and lightweight. The housing’s protective rubber armor is extremely rugged and can stand up to tough use. The fully waterproof housing for use in all weather conditions provides peace of mind when unexpected weather rolls in. The housing is also filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent the internal lenses from fogging when moving between extreme temperatures or when using the binocular in damp conditions.

Heavy but good!

As described and expected. Heavier than I expected despite reading numerous reviews saying how heavy they were :) For any long term use a tripod is the best option. Offers up a great view of the night sky. Very pleased with this purchase. Would buy from this Ligo again.

Ideal for stargazing, they are pretty heavy but with a decent tripod or monopod they are very good

My first pair of binoculars for astronomy and I'm delighted. You definitely need a tripod for them though as they are heavy. Image quality is excellent! I long for some more clear nights so I can take advantage of them! Very easy to use and think they offer great value. My only complaint would be the included case is pretty flimsy and doesn't offer much protection...

Brilliant

Brilliant for gazing at the night sky. Love the wider field of view than I'm used to with my telescope. Incredible optical quality for the price! It is possible to use handheld but not for very long so tend to attach mine to a tripod

Excellent

Excellent powerful binoculars. They are big and bulky but I find that I can use them handheld for short periods, however, they are much better when used on a tripod. Eye relief is just about adequate for me to use while wearing my specs but it's more comfortable to use them without. There is no doubt in my mind that these Celestron SkyMaster Pro's are superior to the standard, entry-level Skymaster optics, which I previously owned and sold on when I purchased these. Whilst they are somewhat more expensive, I think they offer excellent value for money.
