Gigaset SL800H PRO

Bought to replace an older Gigaset SL450H. Same quality if not better. Very sleek and good sound quality.

Had Gigaset DECT phones for years but wanted to upgrade to use with fritz!box router. These phones are very light which makes them feel a bit cheaper (even though they are good quality, I prefer the heavier metal handsets). The functionality and customisation possibilities are good. Can upload pictures and own ringtones from a computer but have to use the free Gigaset software as the USB connection is serial (not mass storage), however not a problem and the software does conversions to the correct format. The fritz!box compatibility is good though to use the fritz answer phone functionality you have to be aware that the answer phone is available on internal phone number **600 and you need to program this in to use the answer phone button (might be in the instructions but I didn't need as the setup is quite simple) All in all, these handsets work well and, as I chose them for the functionally, they easily integrate with the DECT part of my fritz!box.

I purchased another handset as we wanted one upstairs. I was very impressed that I could transfer all of the settings and telephone numbers to the new handset by just pushing a button on the base station . A good buy.

Delivered swiftly and a good phone to combine with 3 other silver SL450 phones. The functionality excellent, calls clear and battery good. I’ve had a few Siemens gigasets and what is an improvement with this is the weight. Previous versions have been good but quite heavy.
