How To Connect a New Gigaset Handset to an Existing Base Station

Registering a new handset to an existing base station unfortunately proves to be a confusing task for many users – yet it really doesn’t need to be, because the process is as simple as it gets once you know how! At liGo we want to help you, and if nothing else, we hope to keep you from throwing your telephone out of a window.

Watch the video below or scroll down for our step by step instructions:

1. Put Your Base Into Registration Mode

Press the paging-key (on the far left in the picture below) for about five seconds until the base starts to beep.

2. Put Your Handset Into Registration Mode

Go to settings and select "registration”. Press “OK”.

Select “register handset”, and wait until you see the following message, indicating that your new handset is now being connected to the base station. When prompted, enter the zero four times into the code window (0000) and press “OK”.

Your new handset has now successfully been registered and can be used immediately! Note that you will have to repeat the full process with each handset, as the base only remains in registration mode for a couple of minutes.

We'd like to make you feel at home, so if you have any further questions, feedback or suggestions for future troubleshooting guides, let us know.

Hi Roger,

Sorry to hear about the issue you’re having with your Gigaset CL750H. The base is the main unit that is connected to your phone line (I believe the CL750 has a separate base unit) and there should be a paging/locator key to hold down.

If you’re still having issues, please reach out.
